Dr. Anupama Kommu:

Dr. Kommu is the founder of Mind Body Connection, Inc. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with a keen interest in mind body interventions. Since the beginning of her practice she has strived to offer compassionate, empathic, and mindful support to her clients. Her research interests include incorporating mind body interventions along with technology to alleviate pain, improve sleep and reduce hypertension and improve overall mental and physiological well-being.

Dr. Kommu is also a supervisor to Postdoctoral candidates, as well as second and third year doctoral students in training.

Dr. Arianna Delerme:

Dr. Delerme is a postdoctoral fellow at Mind Body Connection. Dr. Delerme has worked in hospital, private practice, community mental health, and in-home settings providing evidence-based therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults addressing a variety of presenting concerns impacting psychological health and well-being. Her interest in mental health is rooted in a holistic approach to therapy. She aims to see individuals as a whole person and address their concerns using personalized approaches tailored to each individual. Utilizing integrative and collaborative approaches to mental health care, primarily grounded in cognitive behavioral theory, she aims to help individuals evoke the changes needed to move their lives in a positive direction. She will be supervised and supported by Dr. Kommu.  

Education, Training, and Licenses

  • Dr. Delerme completed a year of postdoctoral training in the greater Arlington VA.
  • She completed an APA-accredited internship at Citrus Health Network in Hialeah, Florida. 
  • She received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.
  • She received her Psy.D. from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington D.C.

Christina Rock

Christina is a Military Veteran, passionate about working with clients seeking positive changes in their lives. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Master Addictions Counselor. She specializes in both trauma and addiction counseling, however has experience working with depression, anxiety, significant changes that cause distress, abuse, and anger. She believes in providing a holistic approach to my clients that includes both mind and body. Her role in the healing process is one of guidance, support, information, and positive regard for the person as a human being. She believes change in all things is possible, and that it is the journey that makes life meaningful.

Christina has experience in helping clients who have experienced traumatic and impactful life events process them in healthy ways and develop healthy coping skills to manage distress. She believes that substance use and addiction stems from troubling interpersonal and life experiences, and uses a comprehensive approach that includes EMDR, DBT, IFS, and Person-Centered therapy.

As a Military Veteran, she possesses some of the unique experiences and knowledge that other military members, active duty, and separated/retired members have encountered. As a civilian, she is also attuned to many of the issues that spouses and civilian members of the community experience on a daily basis. These experiences help round her as a professional and person.

Gopi Karishma Bhakta

Gopi Karishma Bhakta is a pre-doctoral clinical student at the Chicago School, working towards her PsyD in Clinical Psychology. She also holds a Master's in the same field. She's an active member of the American Psychological Association, Hispanic Neuropsychological Association, and the American Association of Clinical Neuropsychology.

In her past roles, Gopi Karishma gained hands-on experience at a residential facility for mentally ill women and worked as an extern at a neuropsychology clinic, administering assessments.

Currently, she's part of a neurology clinic team, specializing in assessing neurological and neuropsychological disorders. Committed to evidence-based and compassionate care, Gopi Karishma focuses on providing high-quality assessments and treatment.

Lashauna Bellamy

Lashauna is a doctoral student at Stevenson University with a Master's in Psychology. She has experience working with diverse clients in relation to culture, ethnicity, age, and diagnosis. Her interests are to work with couples and individuals seeking to improve and maintain their quality of life. Her therapeutic style is to provide emotional support and comfort through a supportive therapeutic alliance while fostering personal growth. Furthermore, she aims to provide an individualized, holistic approach to therapy while providing a safe space for clients to heal and feel empowered.
